Extra-Curriculum- A catalyst in action

When people come by the word “EXTRA”, they certainly start musing over the opportunity cost but when the long term impact is not assessable, they make a huge fallacy of underestimating it. What is Extra-Curriculum? It is anything which is out of syllabus but adding on some value to life. Activities such as Writing, Music, Sports, Drama, Debates etc. have their hidden smartness which actually allocates the practicality in human life.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, some work and some play make him “a gully boy.” Proper synthesis of energy into interest opens up the door of opportunity and it is an invariable truth that most of the classroom lectures do not accentuates itself into social and economic parenthesis. Professions like photography, Acting, Music etc have huge socio-economic values due to extra-curricular exposure. From internal perspective, they help us to develop inter-personal skills and unique soft and hard skills to stand out from common mass.

Presently, the changing nature of education is pondering over inculcation of this concept and Vedic age is a good example to connote as a reference. But the mid-period obsessively undertook many bogus frameworks to make the society ill. It is a right time to make it a part of the curriculum through deliberate efforts by using technology, techniques and obviously a timer.
