Never think that you’re alone, just go on your own
Dream big, work hard, world’s just a sojourn
Problem is our key, Grab the opportunity
Someday the lone may form an entity.
We often wonder how successful people are made. We
often ponder how we can be successful but real life stories can actually open
our mind to muse over the reality.
Ritesh Agarwal, the man behind the OYO, is one of the
pioneers of the startup generation in India. His journey is learning cum
inspiration that the generation should contemplate. He was 8 years old when he
learned the word Entrepreneurship and he became keen to the world of problem
solving. He is a new generation thinker who is a strategic philanthropist. He
ideated this concept while travelling to different corners of India and he
identified the lack of hospitality in hospitality industry itself. His idea
made him curious and furious to develop a transformative plan with far fledged
vision. He was good in studies but best in his interest. Thus, he got his Thiel
Fellowship in 2013 and the journey began.
His success may look like an overnight one but it only
happens when he conquers the time. Although he faced a lot of struggles, his
booming spirit had kept him alive at every point. He started as a mere Agency
Company to kickstart his idea when he hardly got cheesy correspondence at first
but his patience and up-thrust took him into one of the largest real estate
business in India. His simple keynotes were occupancy, stakeholder’s interest
and Brand formulation. He converted a billion dollar unbranded segment into a
new pack of standard utility and then diversified into lots of other areas. This
is amazing to learn that how a young visionary can change the outlook of an
industry with consumer benefit, quality assurance, market mapping and
innovation through technology and systematic process development.
The phase of Covid 19 shattered the hotel industry but
his faith upon his aim is really a stupendous element. It is the part of the
business which also faces problems like threat of real estate mafias, partners’
revolts, competition, clones etc.
His motto is problem solving and his approach is to grow.
His simplicity and smartness along with his inspiring story is more like an
epic full of motivation, motion and obviously introspection.
